Create an AMS account

Overview​

To take advantage of the features offered by AccelByte Multiplayer Servers (AMS)—such as the ability to share resources between AccelByte Gaming Services (AGS) game namespaces—you will need an AMS account. This How-to will walk you through creating an AMS account using the AGS Admin Portal.

Prerequisites​

You will need a Premium or Enterprise AGS account to gain access to a Premium or Enterprise AGS Admin Portal. If you don't have access, please reach out to your AccelByte account representative.

Create an AMS account from a namespace​

Follow these steps to create an AMS account, which is done directly from a game namespace in the AGS Admin Portal.

  1. Log in to your AGS Admin Portal (e.g., demo.accelbyte.io/admin).
  2. In the Admin Portal, go into the namespace for the game you want to create an AMS account for.
  3. On the sidebar of that namespace, go to AccelByte Multiplayer Servers > Setup AMS Account.
  4. On the Setup AMS Account page, click Don't have an AMS Account? to expand it.
  5. Enter your desired AMS account name.
  6. When asked if you're sure you want to create the account, click Yes.

You have created an AMS account.

An account created from a game namespace with this method automatically links the account to that namespace. Account linking allows you to share AMS resources across namespaces. The How-to on AMS account linking covers how to link AMS accounts in more detail.
