Introduction to the Access Service

Last updated on April 17, 2024

Overview

The Access service is the essential pillar of all gaming services provided by AccelByte Gaming Services (AGS). As a comprehensive, secure identity, and access management service, it provides many features including:

  • Unified player accounts across different platforms through account-linking with Identity Providers such as, Steam, Xbox, PlayStation and more.

  • A direct relationship with your players is established by enabling registration of a full account, with email and password.

  • Precise access control over game service settings and data, through fine-grained Roles and Permissions.

  • Protect community standards by enforcing player sanctions, such as account bans or specific feature bans, on individual players, for violating those standards.

  • Ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
